With a fierce gaze that beams lightning bolts, Initiator cuts through all illusions to reveal TRUTH.
Now truth is a convoluted word these days. When in pursuit of what's right that means that someone else is wrong. And as priestesses, we're always looking for that sacred third.
So how can you seek truth AND create unity? How can you cut through distortion, while still holding all parties in compassion? This is the path of the Initiator. Because what’s the point of being right if you burn all bridges in the pursuit?
From a spiritual lens: TRUTH IS A FREQUENCY. This means that it's not a perspective, opinion, or even a belief.
You can hear, sense, and feel the ping of truth. This is something that takes practice to learn. And each situation takes a special kind of mastery. Part of this process is getting clear on what your assumptions are + being willing to be wrong AND admit when you're under the veil of illusion.
Here's the thing, illusion is convincing. When you look at your body, you see something solid right? But there is a widely accepted scientific theory that tells us matter is mostly empty space.
Dissonance distorts truth and glazes it with each person’s perspective. What you see is a projection of your reality. Let’s use a diamond for example. Let’s say the essence of the diamond is truth and each face on it is someone’s unique perspective. That perspective is not false, it is merely one aspect of the larger truth. Feel me on this?
Hail and Welcome Initiator...
You're challenged this lunar cycle to open your eyes and confront that which you wish to ignore. It's time to pierce through the bullshit and be willing to discern how to act in integrity. Because if you don't show up, the initiator will show up for you... and believe me - her gaze is fucking intense.
Initiator is the hawk's eye that helps you discern what information to use that can guide you to act in integrity.
Initiator does not wield her sword in battle as a weapon. She uses it to cut through distortion in the name of love. I’m not talking like crusades kinda shit where there was a political agenda - I’m speaking about the Initiator showing up as an archetypal ally to help you do the inner work to act in a way that has the collective heart in consideration.
Keep this in mind as you read the energy forecast for this lunar cycle below...
So here we stand, at this turn in the Wheel of the Year in the 9th lunar cycle of 2021.
After passing through the Primal Goddess Moon, where you were asked to liberate the shackles of limitation and trust your primal instincts - NOW, with Initiator, it's time to align and simplify to what is actually necessary.
9 is a completion number. So all that has come before since the beginning of this year, everything you've been growing and building towards, it's coming to a culmination point. This is the initiation. This is the test. She says 'do you REALLY want it? Show me.'
SO LET'S TALK NEW MOON ENERGY, because that's the foundational energy for the mood of this lunar cycle.
It happened on September 6th at 5:52 PT in the sign of Virgo. This sign is like the witchy priestess of the zodiac who knows what elements, herbs, and energetics to apply to bring everything into the precise order that’s needed to craft perfection.
And the Initiator likes to prune away. So with whatever you planted on the New Moon - I hope you were precise, because Initiator WILL CHALLENGE YOU. Not to scare you, but to prepare you, whatever your intention is, the heat will be turned up and situations will arise that will make it harder to fulfill this. This is the way of the Initiator...
The same day the New Moon was exact in pacific time - the moon also made a trine to Uranus. And that same day, Jupiter made a trine with Venus. So translation: the mood might have been feeling optimistic, innovative, and maybe even weird.
While the collective nervous system has been feeling fried with the pandemic and other pressing world events, this provided a momentary relief through the transitory phase, as we shift seasons from summer to fall and winter to spring (depending on where you are!).
So whatever discomfort and limitation you may be feeling from this Saturn/Uranus square that is the major theme of the year, Jupiter and Venus were there to offer their blessings to help you through it and to make the most of this new seed that you’ve planted.
NOW... LET'S TALK FULL MOON, because this is the energetic peak of this creative cycle.
This happens September 20th at 4:54 pm PT. And this is happening in the energy of Pisces, which is a REALLY sensitive sign. Pisces (the moon’s placement) intuits the whole picture, even to a place of overwhelm, and Virgo (the sun’s placement) sees every single detail - even to a fault.
So as you become aware of what’s been taking up residence in your underworld, your task is to not let your imagination run wild with what this means about you and your worth, but to use your discernment to cut away what was never yours in the first place.
It might be more challenging to communicate what shadow material is coming into your awareness, but when you do find the way - Jupiter is there to help you alchemize your pain into gold. Speaking to your hurts and pains is what helps you to liberate the stuck energy. And Jupiter wants you to make the most of what’s available for you now.
September 22nd is a special day: it’s the EQUINOX, a time when there is equal balance between light and dark.
In the Northern Hemisphere, it’s the Mabon celebration of the harvest and in the Southern Hemisphere it’s the Ostara celebration of the growth. Each hemisphere provides balance to the other.
The moment after Equinox, the sun moves out of Virgo, and hell yes justice seekers, it's #LibraSeason. the Initiator is at home here. And as you you might feel pulled towards issues of justice, Initiator will help you to discern what’s worth your investment. The more focused you are, the more impactful your actions will be.
And you'll have time to reflect, because this entire lunar cycle is impacted by Mercury retrograde in Libra. The pre-shadow phase began on the New Moon and Mercury officially stations retrograde on September 26th.
During this time, Wires get crossed. Things slow down. Technology moves slower. One of the shadow aspects of Initiator is impatience and over-control. So make sure not to get too blunt in your communications when the heat of frustration strikes and to not force things to happen.
Whenever you're trying to speed up. Ask yourself - 'how can I let go and slow down?'
Initiator wants to help you see TRUTH.
Because when you do, and I mean really see the truth - a quantum leap is rightfully yours and fully available to you. Yes, the Initiator is challenging, and this means that the rewards are that much sweeter.
AKA - when you show up for your initiation, even when it sucks or feels hella confronting - it’s worth it in the end, because what’s on the other side is more of YOU. And YOU are the magic. You are the abundance. So when things feel hard, try this -
- INITIATOR TIP #1: Take a few deep breaths, close your eyes, and imagine that you're holding the hilt of a sword. Place this imaginary hilt at your solar plexus, with the tip pointing up. See, sense and feel this sword. And ask for discernment.
- INITIATOR TIP #2: Spend time meditating with your third eye centre. See, sense, and feel a diamond in this place and ask for clarity.
