Like the lotus that has roots deep in the mud, it grows up through the water to open and close with the sun - Goddess of Compassion’s fire takes you straight to the crown. When the heart feels safe enough to expand, that spaciousness opens up your channel to Divine.
She asks you to rise rooted in unconditional love.
Hail and Welcome Goddess of Compassion...
You're invited this lunar cycle to forgive those places within self and others that you judge and resent. And why? They're taking up residency in your heart and robbing you of what you truly seek. Each time you let go of resentment, you call back a piece of yourself. Having more of you present helps your heart to open a little bit more. And this, my love, charges you up from the inside out, making you magnetic towards your heart's desires.
Keep this in mind as you read the energy forecast for this lunar cycle below...
So here we stand, at this turn in the Wheel of the Year. It's the 2nd lunar cycle of 2022 from January 31st - March 1st.
After passing through the Great Mother Moon, where you were invited to consciously begin anew - NOW, with Goddess of Compassion, you're asked to recognize and seed all that has been gestating in the soil within you through the light of your awareness.
Goddess of Compassion holds the frequency that brings that spark of Divinity into form through sound, movement, and shape. This is why she holds the seeding phase in the lunar cycle, because she actually makes up the ingredients that takes light into form, as a seed that you plant.
SO LET'S TALK NEW MOON IN AQUARIUS, because that's the foundational energy for the mood of this lunar cycle.
The New Moon is exact at 10:45 pm MST on January 31st. After a lunar cycle of integration that was sludgy at times, the wheels they are a turnin’ and slowly. As the moon begins a new cycle, we’re finally coming to that conscious conception phase that gets things ignited. Goddess of Compassion recognizes and seeds.
Her home in the lunar cycle is the New Moon, the seeding phase of the cycle. And the High Holy Day, Imbolc, which is February 1st, the day after the New Moon, is that time that honours the flame lit within. It marks the very first ignition from winter to spring.
Compassion is foundational to the success of what you seed. It’s an ingredient that needs to be there if what you plant is going to fully take root, shoot, and bloom. So the invitation now and always is to sprinkle in doses of radical self-acceptance and unconditional love, as the water that nourishes your seeds to grow.
Judgement is like the drying of the soil, the suffocation of the roots, and the deprivation of light, air, and water. So anytime that you witness this happen, nip it in the bud.
Compassion, embrace, self-acceptance. Let these be your words. In those moments that are tough. When you don’t believe in yourself. When things seem stuck. Embrace yourself through the process.
NOW... LET'S TALK FULL MOON IN LEO, because it's the energetic peak of this creative cycle.
The Full Moon is exact at 9:56 am MST on February 16th. The beginning of the cycle was seeded with the energy of Aquarius. You know that energy that cares about humanity, that seeks to innovate change, and is on the outskirts looking in at the whole over-picture of the collective?
Well on this day, the energetics are imbued with Leo. We’re at the polar opposite view. Leo resides in the heart, at the centre. Goddess of Compassion is both views. She is that part of you who can see from the view of another, from the broader view, while being able to connect from the heart of unconditional love too.
So instead of falling into the shadow of Leo, getting self-righteous and prideful when you’re triggered…. what if instead, you feel into the light - the thing that Leo is masterful at, and that is radiating love. Yes this is hard. This is why Leo is bold, is regal, is the lion after all.
Venus is next to Mars on the Full Moon and for some time to come this lunar cycle. These are the cosmic lovers. The polar opposites. The lover and the fighter. While these planets bring out duality - Goddess of Compassion is that place within you that says ‘yes and…’ She is the sacred third that takes you from this or that into BOTH.
All in all - Goddess of Compassion wants to help you FORGIVE.
And this forgiveness is not about condoling inappropriate behaviour or abuse. It's about you taking back your power. It's about forgiving the place within you that has judged.
Holding onto resentment and judgement whether for self or others can really get in the way of creating and showing up in your purpose work. It basically creates walls around your heart, making it more guarded.
When your heart is guarded in this way, it's actually harder to magnetize aligned resources to you. That's why devoting a full lunar cycle every year to cultivating compassion and forgiveness actually helps you get your purpose work in motion. It helps the ice to thaw. It creates space. TIPS TO HELP WITH THIS:
- GODDESS OF COMPASSION TIP #1: Anytime you notice yourself judging in anyway, triggered by someone else, or blaming someone for your problems. Ask yourself, 'how am I that?' And really sit with that inquiry until you can see what in the other is reflecting something within you that you are holding out of love.
- GODDESS OF COMPASSION TIP #2: When you recognize what it is that you're holding out of love within yourself, see that part of you that you have judged, beam a stream of love there, and speak the Hawaiian Ho'oponopono prayer. 'I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you.'
- GODDESS OF COMPASSION TIP #3: Join us in the Circles of Magdalenes on Monday Feb. 21. Through invocation, toning, and embodied flow - we will be connecting with and embodying the Goddess of Compassion to help rise rooted in unconditional love.
